Winter Wishes From My Home To Yours
Hey there! For those of you unaware of who I am, my name is Stacy. I’m 19 years young, with a passion for fashion, all things blue, and glitter. I met Editor In Chief and Producer TNT Tauna in October through our wonderful friend Annalisa, who heads up SnapShot Ninja Photography. I got invited to connect with the Facebook page for Dynamite Editorials, and after exploring a bit, I decided I liked what I saw. I volunteered to write fashion articles for the blog and after a semi-long period of time and technical difficulties, here I am! I love working with Tauna and the team we are developing, and my job is great. But really, how can I say I’m working when I’m just doing something I love?! Hahaha, I’m definitely quite eccentric, but our little team has an amazing camaraderie with each other that makes each week fun.

Christmas is almost here! For those of you doing some last minute shopping, I do not envy you. However, there’s still time to grab some holiday gifts and have it shipped directly to your loved ones. I also know there’s some of you out there who are browsing the web for things to buy with that Christmas cash you know you will be receiving this year. In any case, there might be something that strikes your fancy from what I’m selling on Ebay. Take a look:

I’m a Christmas Cutie!
On December 6th I was featured as one of Bachelor Pad’s Christmas Cuties! Bachelor Pad Magazine is a vintage inspired magazine where you can see modern pinups in their tantalizing glory. It’s “The New Digest of Atomic Age Culture.” This is a photo taken a few years ago by Glamour Girl Pinups with makeup, hair and wardrobe by me. To see more from this set of photos go here. There’s one Cutie for each day of the month so head on over there and check them out!
Christmas Party Nail Art
My friend Lia came over to help me with my nail art for my Christmas party this year. She brought a wide variety of small brush nail polishes and here’s what I chose to do:
I still haven’t gotten used to doing my own nail art, especially on my right hand, but I’m getting better! I was happy with the results, it didn’t cost me a thing, and they were a hit at my Christmas party! Yay! Now it’s time I invested in a set of polishes of my own.
Party Time!
Got a Christmas party of your own to go to and you need style advice? No need to fear TNT is here! For your wardrobe think anything glittery or sequin in classic colors such as gold, silver, black, white, or red. Mix and match your sparkly pieces with solids or wear a sparkly dress with a cardigan or fur coat. If you choose to wear a sparkly top with a solid bottom or if you don’t have anything sparkly then try pulling your look together with some glittery shoes and accessories. When it comes to makeup, keep it simple and classic especially if your outfit is already loud. My go-to makeup look is always classic pinup especially when I want a sophisticated look without too much makeup. I found this great How-To guide on FashionIndie entitled How To Rock A Casually Chic Pinup Look if you need help trying to figure out the look.
For hair I recommend some simple long curls with a wide curling iron. Or if you have time to try something new, I found this cool DIY for a low hair bow on Refinery29 that I can’t wait to try.
What did I wear for my Christmas party you ask? I wore a red dress that has large hanging sequins on top with my favorite cardigan that has a sheer lace back paired with tights to match. I made my very own glittery black shoes to wear and put on a cameo necklace with matching pearl earrings. I chose the milkmaid braid for my hair and shimmery white eye shadow with a mix of red and black in the corners and crease of the eye. Unfortunately, I was unable to get any pictures but my husband said I was the Belle of the Ball! haha! I need someone to follow me around with a professional camera to document the looks I come up with like so many other bloggers I see around the internet. Any volunteers? lol Maybe I should just invest in a better camera other than my phone and hope for the best when I ask my friends and family to try and capture my look.
Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2012 Collection
OMG when I saw Jason Wu’s Pre-Fall Collection I just about died and went to heaven! Such classic timeless pieces! See for yourself…
Isn’t that metallic blue amazing?! The first two looks scream high fashion pinup to me and I’m head over heels for that look! What do you think?
Happy Holidays Everyone!
I’m wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas! I hope it’s filled with friends, family, joy, and love this holiday season!
xoxo

Christmas Cards!
Christmas is almost here! Have you done your Christmas cards yet? This year for our Christmas cards I decided to do photo cards since I hadn’t done them in about 5 years or so. I enlisted the help of my good friend Neil, who’s a photographer, to come out and help us make this years Christmas photos look amazing. It was the beginning of October when California weather gears up for winter. I decided we would go to Huntington Beach, since that’s my favorite local beach, and take some fun pix of us in the sand. I think photo cards should say something about your personal style, your location and that moment in time or even something about that year for you. I wore a colorful dress with hidden leopard print that I love and have been wearing all year along with some bangles and a dainty gold necklace my mom gave me. I was never a fan of gold jewelry until about April of this year when I discovered that it goes great with my hair color especially when I wear brown which is a color I never really considered wearing before this year as well. Since I had some brown in my dress, I picked out a brown button up shirt and slacks for my husband. It was great having a friend like Neil taking the photos because we had a fun and relaxed time shooting which is important and can make all the difference with family photos sometimes. He was there making us laugh every step of the way while capturing some really awesome moments, sometimes when we weren’t even looking. The photos turned out better than I could have asked for with no photoshop required! Now that’s talent my friends! It was a beautiful, mostly sunny day, with a little wind brushing our cheeks with chill. When I was ready to make a photo card I headed over to Zazzle.com and had some printed up in plenty of time before the holidays. I still have quite a few left over so if you didn’t get one already and you want one please feel free to send me your address and I’ll send one out to you 🙂 I realized I don’t have many of my friend’s addresses so sorry if I missed you! Here’s how it turned out:
Exclusive to my blog, here’s all of the great shots we took that day:
Festive Nail Art
Ok so I’m keeping up with my manicure now and trying new things I see online. Today’s nail art was inspired by Refinery29 where I saw 3 DIY Festive & Fun Holiday Nail Art. This week I chose this one to try:
I decided to use a blue that was more aqua because I had some matching glittery nail polish to spice it up. The only thing is I don’t think the brush I was using was thin enough to achieve the above look and since this was my very first attempt at using a long thin brush, this is how it turned out. Eh!
I’m going to try it again so hopefully I’ll have better luck next time. At least the process was fun! Now all I need are better brushes. Wanna send me some? lol I’ll have to put that on my wish list for Santa this year. Meanwhile, I’ve been taking necessary steps to prolong my nail art thanks to The Budget Fashionista who posted an article titled 5 Ways to Keep Nails From Chipping.
This Year in Vogue
Fashionista.com posted an article looking back at this year’s Vogue Covers entitled This Year in Vogue: An Analysis of all the Covers from 2011. The part I found most interesting is that models actually got more covers than celebrities! That is a major victory for models this year! Kudos to Vogue for keeping models on covers.
Chanel‘s Métiers d’Art Pre-Fall 2012 Collection
Everyone is talking about the show Karl Lagerfeld put on for Chanel’s Métiers d’Art Pre-Fall 2012 collection mainly because the runway was absolutely amazing!! It looks like a winter wonderland feast!
And the clothes, OMG!, are stunning with such detail! The theme was Paris-Bombay so many of the pieces were inspired by India fashion. I definitely recommend watching the full video via Chanel.com if you have 17 minutes to spare or check out each and every amazing look via Style.com.
A Harvey Nichols Christmas 2011
I saw this hilarious video this week for designer Harvey Nichols that you must watch. Never have I seen an advertisement like this. I must say, very creative…
