That’s right shopaholics, it’s time again to get ready for Fashion’s Night Out on Thrusday September 6th! For the last four years FNO has been captivating us with this global initiative to “to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, boost the industry’s economy during the recession, and put the fun back in shopping! In the United States, the program is a collaboration between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York,” according to their website.
Last year’s bash featured events in eighteen countries and more than 4,500 events here in the States alone, featuring special limited-edition products, celebrity appearances, and unforgettable performances. FNO 2012 promises to be even bigger and better!
You can expect some major parties to happen where retailers will be jam packed with music, food, and giveaways! From L.A. to London to NYC every participating city will have an exciting event planned and “in the weeks to come participating cities will reveal more about the itinerary and retailers, so you must stay tuned and continually check for updates on your preferred city’s official FNO website. Get excited, it’s every shopaholic’s dream night and the unofficial kick-off for fashion week,” according to LOS Magazine.
As if we needed a reason to shop FNO here’s 33 straight from their Facebook page:
LA is sure to be a major hot spot for celebrities and exciting events. The Beverly Center has an amazing kick off planned starting with red carpet arrivals at 5pm and fashion shows at 7pm and 9pm. Maybelline New York Color Studio will be doing free makeovers and nail polish sampling! Guests will have a chance to meet the editor of West Coast Vogue, Lisa Love.
True Religion Brand Jeans will be conducting a FNO kick off for the LA Blogger community on August 29th where guests can enjoy a Social Sneak Preview Blogger event! Then on Sept. 6th they will be bringing the excitement of FNO Street Style to the Beverly Center where guests will have a chance to be photographed by LA’s premiere bloggers as well as an opportunity to be the first to see the debut of their True Religion Coated Denim Collection! FNO is sure to support the local fashion economy in LA with over 5,000 fashion lines that call LA home.
