The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

There’s been a lot of buzz going around about how spectacular the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was this year but I haven’t seen better pics of the show than the ones shot by Tommy Ton back stage posted on Style.com. While all the outfits are amazing, not to mention the iconic Victoria Secret angel wings, I see a theme emerging in this years show. Could it be the year of the super hero for Victoria’s Secret? See for yourself.

Holiday Shopping Tips

The Budget Fashionista always has some great money saving tips. Just in time for Black Friday, when consumerism is at its height, they posted two great articles to help keep us on track and stay out of the black hole of debt. The first article is seven great tips for a Holiday Shopping Plan that Will Keep Cash in Your Wallet and Keep You Sane. I say read these tips over and over before you go on your shopping extravaganza.

The next article is specific to Black Friday entitled Black Friday Shopping: A Five Step Strategy. If you don’t know where to start or you are feeling a bit unorganized then read this.

DIY Beaded Button Down Shirt

I see a lot of DIY’s but I decided to re-post this one because it’s actually relatively simple to do and adds the illusion of an accessory. So if you have an ordinary button down in your closet that you would wear more often if it wasn’t so drab, then get out your beads and try this DIY.

Occupy Wallstreet

If you haven’t heard about the movement that’s sweeping the country called Occupy Wall Street then please google it now! The movement that’s outraged by big corporation’s influence in government politics and big government bailouts for said corporations is also susceptible to companies trying to capitalize on the movement. Fashion companies are trying to capitalize on a movement that’s kinda against consumerism by either making propaganda clothing or using the Occupy Wall Street name to market to that demographic. Shame, shame we know your game!

Dsquared² F/W 11/12

I came across these photos of the Dsquared² fashion show for their 2011/2012 line and OMG! I can’t get over the look! It’s a time warp where women dress in tightly fitted seemingly masculine clothing reminiscent of a time when Van Helsing was slaying vampires while ice skating down the runway. See for yourself.
